Hip Knox

ORIGIN
Professor Knox is convinced that he can better all of mankind by imbuing a human with superhuman hypnotic powers, but lacks a subject to try out his theories. Then fortune knocks! The Professor discovers an abandoned dying infant on his doorstep. Knox revives the baby boy with a special operation to his eyes, head, and heart. As a result, the child, nicknamed "Hip" by Professor Knox, grows up with unusually large eyes and head. When Hip turns twenty-one, he received a special costume from the professor, who makes Hip vow to use his powers only for justice. Thus was born HIP KNOX, the super hypnotist!

HISTORY
Hip’s primary enemy is Eric McFadden, a longtime foe of the Knox family who can resist hypnosis by wearing a mesh-cage piece of headgear with quartz lenses. The two clash—of course HIP KNOX wins! Unfortunately HIP KNOX career was short-lived having only three adventures.
