The Lynx

ORIGIN
Independently wealthy, JIM (no last name given) uses his resources to fight crime as the LYNX. Jim may also be the MOTH (see individual entry), but this has not been proven. The LYNX, with his ward and crime-fighting partner PHIL (again no last name given), who was known as BLACKIE, the Mystery Boy (see individual entry) resides in a mansion located outside of a large city.

POWERS/ABILITIES
Sometimes the LYNX displayed superhuman strength and speed. These powers came from a famous biologist who endowed the hero with tremendous energy. At other times the Lynx relies only on his wits and fine physique, as does Blackie.

HISTORY
The LYNX's first costume consists of a domino mask, gloves, cape, and boots with spotted (like a lynx) shorts. Blackie has a similarly "sparse" action costume. But eventually the LYNX gets the costume seen here. For well over a year this pair of crime fighters fights many a bizarre foe until their careers end in February 1942 for unknown reasons.
