Editorial
[Please note I am still working on
the coloring for this issue. All characters are represented, but in
flat colors. I will be updating them with finished colored versions
as time permits. Best - Darrin]
Welcome to issue # 21 of the GOOD GUYS AND GALS of the
GOLDEN AGE!
We are running a bit behind on this issue due to a few different reasons.
One reason being is the set up and preparing of our new domain name
and web site at www.pr-publications.com so we hope you don't mind
too much that we are behind schedule. Of course this means that issue
# 22 will not come out until January of 2004 now, but to make it up
to you we have decided to make it up to you by featuring 22 characters
that issue! Below is a list of the characters you will find in issue
# 22 of Good Guys and Gals of the Golden Age.

2) Atom Man <The Human Thunderbolt> (AU)
3) Captain Future (Nedor)
4) Captain Might (UK)
5) Captain Victory (Ace)
6) Captain Wonder (CA)
7) Captain Zenith (UK)

10) Hip-Knox (Hugo Gernsback)
11) Human Top (Timely)
12) Laughing Mask (Timely)
13) Marvel (MLJ)
14) Maskar (Italy)
15) Miss Green Mask (Fox)
16) Phantom Bullet (Timely)
17) Powerman (AU)

22) White Panther (Fiction House)
Issue # 22 is all drawn and color coded and is winging its way to
Darrin to color and for Anthony Bernardo to edit once he gets the
profiles done by yours truly. It was a blast doing them! But back
to this issue at hand. We hope you will enjoy this issue as we strove
very hard to make it special. For one, it is all computer colored
by Darrin Wiltshire, and that takes Darrin a bit of time to do, since
he just finished computer coloring our MLJ Special issue, which of
course made him have to work twice as hard and fast to get this issue's
coloring done as well, another reason we are a bit tardy! Also Darrin
colored our entrance page with art by D.S. Ellis, and we think its
a smashing cover, don't you? You can now access all of our issues
and specials from this website (www.pr-publications.com) and we hope
you will book mark this address for future use. We think that this
will make getting to our various publications that much easier. This
issue is a bit different than most other issues that we have done
in the past. How so may you ask? Well we often get letters from you
the viewer letting us know where we can find other Golden Age characters
on the web. The two sites most often cited are "The Golden Years"
by Steve Rogers, and Bill Nolan's "Pure Excitement Comics",
of which, both are excellent sites that we have known about for a
long long time. But to put this constant referral to rest, we decided
to offer the best of those sites characters that have yet to be features
here at Good Guys and Gals of the Golden Age. So, if you already know
of these characters, here is our take on them, and for added enjoyment
for those who have not seen a story of these great characters, we
have added a link in our "Current Copyright" section, indicating
where the stories can be found. So you can go and read the story and
compare them to what we've done. We managed to get most of them into
this issue, and next issue should wrap up the majority of them, so
consider this a "rounding up" of loose ends. We will revisit
this theme in Vol. # 3, next year, and will also include the characters
found on our CD ROM reprint series "GREATS of the GOLDEN AGE
of COMICS" that have yet to be featured here on Good Guys and
Gals of the Golden Age. You can get a sample of what can be found
on them, the reprint CD Roms, on our sister website, Greats of the
Golden Age of Comics, which is listed on our main domain web page.
Also still up and running is our TIMELY and MLJ specials. Go check
them out as well. Take care and God Bless, I hope you all have a safe
and happy holidays, we will see you in January. Bye 4 now.
