In some alternate universe lives
take a different turn. Phantom Lady II |

|
It's 1947, and an attempt is made on the life of Senator Henry Knight in Washington D.C. His daughter, Sandra Knight foils the attempt, unbeknownst to her father. Reveling in the excitement created by this adventure, Sandra decides to become the crime-fighting femme fatale known as the Phantom Lady. The criminals and evildoers she strikes at think her a phantom because her justice is swift and sure. Her father and her boyfriend Don Borden think Sandra is nothing more than the typical debutante of the Washington D.C. world of glamour and fame. Obtaining a device capable of creating an exceptionally black ray, Phantom Lady uses this hand-held weapon against her foes whenever needed. When not in use, it is kept in her purse. Curiously, even though Sandra does not wear a mask with her ultra-revealing crime-fighting costume, no one ever seems to recognize her as the Phantom Lady! In another reality, a different Phantom Lady (I) would start her career in 1941 and have a much different path to travel (see individual entry on Phantom Lady I). In 1954, yet another version of Phantom Lady would appear (see entry on Phantom Lady III) to battle the evils of her world. In any reality, Phantom Lady is a potent force for good. |
