Aahh, yesss! Zoom, you are
most welcome. The Ghost Woman |
|
Vroudlackas, loupgarous, werewolves--every language has a name for them! Every country in the world trembles before their fiery breath and horrible appetites. And now a plague of them menaces a whole community! Only Ghost Woman stands between them and mankind! Traveling down a sleety road in a car with bad brakes, a woman races to tell her husband that their daughter is not dead. On a sharp curve the brakes fail, and the speeding vehicle plummets over the cliff. Pulling herself up after the crash, the woman is amazed that she survived the event. She makes her way back to the road and unsuccessfully tries to flag down a passing car. Lying down in front of the next passing vehicle, she is astonished that she feels no pain as the wheels go over her. Making her way home on foot, the woman in white confronts her husband in her living room. As their butler walks through her and her words fall unheard on her husband's ears, she realizes that she must be dead. Her distraught husband John leaves the house to pursue a barking mad dog that he hears from the adjoining graveyard. As Ghost Woman follows her husband, a man with a lantern asks John why he is in a graveyard at night with a woman. Dismissing the man, John continues on his search asking to be left alone. The man with the lantern now realizes that the woman he sees is a ghost, because werewolves can see ghosts, which are invisible to humans. Changing to his werewolf form, he attacks the unsuspecting John. Ghost Woman intercepts the leaping werewolf as John unbelievingly watches the werewolf talking to and apparently fighting someone invisible. John aids his unseen benefactor by striking the werewolf in the head with a rock, changing him back to human form. John and Ghost Woman race back to the house where Ghost Woman musters all her ectoplasm to move the old blunderbuss hanging above the mantle. Seeing the weapon now in John's hands, the werewolf summons the remainder of his pack to attack the house. As the pack enters the house, a sterling silver fork floats into the barrel of the gun, causing John to remember that silver kills werewolves. Killing the leader of the pack, the others retreat. Finally, John vows to spend his life pursuing and destroying all werewolves. Ghost Woman states "I have not died in vain! He will live and fight! Now I can rest!" |

Also keep in mind, my pretty phantom,
that these events take place in an undisclosed area up in Canada, making
the Ghost Woman one of Canada's few super-heroines.
