Moonbeam, my sweet wisp!
Such an entertaining tale. The Ghost I |
|
1941 Brad Hendricks puts on the mantle of the Ghost to continue the battle against the insidious menace of the Claw, feared foe of that dashing crime fighter Daredevil (See individual entry). Like his predecessor Daredevil, the Ghost has no super-powers, just his amazing physical fitness and his wondrous Ghost Plane, with its giant skull head mounted on its fuselage. The Ghost slams away at his gargantuan enemy time and again, but the Claw is sent to his doom only to reappear even more menacingly soon afterwards! Then the Ghost discovers the archfiend’s Achilles heel. Even though the monster is impervious to bullets or explosions, the Ghost kills him by piercing a certain vein in the Claw's neck. Yet the Claw is soon back again, and not too long afterwards the Ghost apparently gives up the ghost and fades into obscurity, never to be heard from again. |
