Here is the interesting story of
one of the better known crimefighters in his own time. Flash "Lash" Lightning |
![]() |
| Robert Morgan, a young American vacationing in Egypt, is exploring one of the Great Pyramids, when he suddenly becomes lost. He stumbles into a secret passage that leads him into a hidden room. He presses the lightning-bolt insignia on the wall, and out appears the Old Man of the Pyramids, who grants Robert Morgan one of ancient Egyptian science’s greatest secrets, the power over lightning! With his newfound abilities Robert Morgan returns to America, where he now goes by the name of Flash Lightning. As Flash, he can generate lightning bolts from his hands, wield tremendous strength, and fly. Flash Lightning can move so fast that the normal eye can't follow him. Later in his career, he changes his name to Lash Lightning. He also acquires a partner in Isobel Blake (see entry on Lightning Girl), who aids him in his fight for truth, justice and freedom for all. As Lash Lightning, he does have weaknesses; being immersed in water, encased in rubber, or buried alive is sufficient to render him helpless. But with any electrical "shock" or current, he can revive to full power in no time. Lightning also shares a talent with his partner, Lightning Girl--lightning pulses that they can use to trace one another. |
