The Black Commando

    Dan Barton of the Police Department is suspended for failure to protect a secret project he was assigned to. His dereliction charges outrage Dan so much that he dramatically quits the police department. Professor Clyde has perfected a formula for synthetic rubber that fifth columnist spies want desperately. Barton breaks into the Professor's apartment one night to steal the plans, but Dan Barton's friend, Sergeant Pat Flannigan foils the robbery attempt and captures Dan Barton. Chief Stover of the FBI, whom Dan is secretly working for, visits him in jail. Stover plans to have Dan escape and meet him later to go over the plans for infiltrating the Nazi saboteurs. Unfortunately, by the time Barton escapes and arrives at the appointed meeting place, Stover has been shot by the Nazis and lies dying. Stover is the only one that knew Barton was working undercover for the government, and now he dies in Barton's arms. Seeing Barton enter Stover's apartment, the Nazi spies return and capture Dan, taking him to their hideout in the Green Lantern Bookstore, a front for the Nazi rats! Once there, Tyson, the sub-leader, contacts by short wave radio the real leader, who is secretly Mr. Jenssen, the local photography store owner. Barton succeeds in infiltrating the Nazi nest of evil and helping them out with their plans of sabotage and destruction, while foiling their efforts as the Black Commando. Only Pat Flannigan and Dan's girlfriend, reporter Jean Ashley, know that Dan is really the Black Commando! Through many episodes of mystery and deception, the Black Commando finally uncovers the secret code used in the planning of the fifth columnist's evil plans and puts an end to their nefarious deeds.

Obviously, this wartime secret hero was one of the people who was being "watched" by the inhabitants of the crashed space craft. I will report back with any other information as I receive it. British Fury over and out.
