| Former All-American fullback, champion polo player, retired district attorney, and now wealthy man about town, Brian O' Brien becomes the Clock in order to tick off the remaining hours of freedom for criminals everywhere! Leaving his clock-faced calling card, upon which, after the completion of every case, is written "The Clock Strikes!" His two assistants are a young woman named Butch, who wears a green sweatshirt top, a plaid skirt, and a matching tam o’shanter, and Pug, who dresses in a blue business suit, not unlike the one worn by the Clock when not attired in his tuxedo. A dedicated sleuth and crimefighter, the Clock and his aides wage a never-ending war on crime and corruption. |

Very well said, Black Devil.
We should also mention that the Clock has the distinction of being considered
the first mystery man of the Golden Age and that he fought for law and
order for almost a decade. And, please, do try to call me by my correct
name, Lady Elizabeth, not 'Beth, if you don't mind.
