| Kalthar, mighty giant and chief of the Urganas, protects the jungle’s denizens. He is a cunning and strong white man who speaks the language of the beasts. When Kalthar's father died saving the Urganas from Arab slave traders, the Urganas raised the boy as one of theirs. They named him Kalthar, which in their language means “God-Son.” When the boy reached manhood, Talo the witch doctor gave him the red grains of growth, which enable him to grow fifteen feet tall and the green grains, which return him to normal. Kalthar has only nine recorded adventures. |
