| Halloween 1942: a mysterious figure tracks the movements of a heroine known as the Spider Widow (see individual entry), as she is trying to thwart a band of thieves. As the confrontation gets heated, the Raven swoops down and joins the fray! "What took you so long," the Spider Widow exclaims. These two crime fighters make short work of the thieves! This partnership outwardly appears to be a friendly rivalry. Even the Spider Widow doesn’t know the Raven’s identity. The Raven uses his wings to glide for short distances or to defend himself. The Raven is a superb fighter and strategist but his only “special ability” is his uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time. The Raven and the Spider Widow occasionally team up with the Phantom Lady (see individual entry on Phantom Lady I), and on one occasion the Raven alone teams up with this wispy beauty. |
