Captain Midnight

July 1941: This patriotic month brings Captain John Albright out of retirement and back into action as that man of adventure Captain Midnight! An inventor as well as an ace aviator, Captain Midnight has returned to help America out against the foes of freedom. Captain Midnight and his Secret Squadron (Chuck Ramsey, Joyce Ryan and Ichabod Mudd (see individual entry for Sergeant Twilight)) fights for the freedom of all men and women around the world. His most persistent opponent is Ivan Shark. From his base in Nevada, Captain Midnight and the Squadron report to Major Steel for globe-trotting assignments. In 1942 he adopts a special flight suit that has glider wings, which allow him to ride on the air currents for short distances. Captain Midnight has no special powers but his fertile mind creates inventions like the blackout bombs of darkness, his electrical belt knife, and his custom plane with its cyclone engine to aid him in the battle against evil.  Captain Midnight also employs a special danger suit when he has to venture into hostile environments such as space. For there are no limits or boundaries that Captain Midnight won't brave to accomplish his mission.
