The
Mummy

    Professor Vatz, evil criminal mastermind, has developed a most ingenious invention. By coating gauze with radium and wrapping his body up totally in the radiated gauze, Prof. Vatz becomes immune to bullets and other weapons. With this newfound protection, he renames himself the Mummy and sets out on a crime spree only to be halted and imprisoned by that feared crime fighter Flash Lightning (see individual entry).

    Another criminal genius known as the Mastermind (see individual entry) eventually frees Prof. Vatz, after which they team-up against Flash Lightning. But the intrepid hero again defeats the Mummy, thanks in part to the Mastermind’s treachery. The Mummy and the Mastermind continue to plague Flash Lightning, but they always meet defeat at his hands and end up back in jail.
