    Johnny Chance, secret agent of LIBERTY, finds himself chained to an atomic bomb that agents of the Evil Eye Society were trying to steal. He reaches into the bomb and rip’s out its radioactive core, burning off his hand in the process. Other agents arrive on the scene and escort Chance to LIBERTY, an organization run by Dr. Zane, headquartered in a sprawling complex 500 feet below the Statue of Liberty. There Zane gives Johnny Chance a new cybernetic hand. This hand boasts many features located in the fingers: a camera, a blaster, an X-ray beam, a recorder, a magnet and a black ray along with a power pack. Chance was also given other detachable fingers, which create shock waves, emit smoke screens, or fire stun rays. With all this hardware Johnny Chance was dubbed the Spyman, who had only three adventures.
