Jigsaw

    Colonel Gary Jason, astronaut for the U.S. Space Force is in orbit around Earth doing routine photography mission when he is caught in a magnetic vortex that is lifting objects from Siberia and carrying them to the moon. Gary is seriously wounded when a fossilized tree skewers his space capsule. Fortunately the objects are bound for an alien base upon the moon, where creatures known as the Krellites are studying Earth. Because of their advanced skills, they are able to rebuild Gary Jason, like a gigantic jointed doll. They have used synthetic tendons, which allow him to stretch to fantastic lengths. Upon his return to Earth, Colonel Jason meets up with his fiancé Betty. But due to his lack of control of his new "body" he appears misshapen. Betty is repulsed at first but she quickly recovers from this fear. However, Jason is so wounded that he throws in with the Si-Krell, a metallic duck-like creature of very high intelligence. Si-Krell finds various good deeds for Gary Jason, now calling himself Jigsaw, to do throughout the Milky Way, sending him around via fast-as-light vessels or magnetic teleporter beams. Back on Earth, JIGSAW becomes a special agent for the U.S. Space Force, and his liaison is his best friend, science fiction writer Chet Mansfield.
