| Fearless District Attorney Tony Colby prosecutes vicious criminals regardless of the consequences. But one convicted criminal throws a vial of acid in Tony Colby's face. The acid blinds this champion of the law and scars his face. However several weeks go by and Tony Colby vision returns better than ever. In fact, he can see in the dimmest light or even complete darkness. Knowing that the world thinks him blind, Tony devises the guise of the Mask to fight crime where the law cannot go. The Mask’s head covering hides his scarred features, and only his loyal assistant Carol knows that Tony Colby and the Mask are one and the same. A typical case for the Mask was usually catching the criminals, murderers and thieves of the city where he presides as DA. On one such case the Mask trails a master thief who operates disguised as an old woman. Carol notices that the "old woman" moves in a suspiciously "masculine" way. Tracking the “old woman,” Carol is captured by this outlaw and is held hostage until the Mask shows up and saves the day by unmasking the old woman for what she really is...a MAN! Bizarre as it sounds, this is not an unusual case for the Mask and Carol. They fight for justice, even though Carol constantly pleads with Tony to give up his career as the Mask. |

Yes, Vapor Girl, good thing Tony
Colby didn't take his assistant’s advice and quit, for the Mask went on
to fight for justice for many adventures.
