Feh! I am not a cat person!
However, I do like our next subject's choice of a heroic name.
This is our profile on...

The Eagle II

August 1940--fear and panic from Bund terrorists and Nazi sympathizers grip America. One man steps to the forefront to battle these evil miscreants and their horrendous deeds. This man is Billy G. Powers, a military enlistee devoted to the service of our country. Billy notes that his superiors in the service would frown on his disregard for due process of law in smashing the spy rings and thugs that he encounters. So he devises the costumed identity of the Eagle to wage war on these destroyers of democracy!

With nothing more than his military training and strength of will, the Eagle does what he can to stem the tide of criminals in America's defense industry. Along the way, Billy's friend, Buddy (see individual entry on Buddy I), the Boy Scout, aids the Eagle in his quest to rid America of freedom's enemies.

In this reality, the Eagle has no super powers; however, in other realities Eagle I and Eagle III (see individual entries) have various powers that include flight and superhuman strength and vitality. Are these three like-named heroes the same man? With varying origins, costumes, and abilities, these three gentlemen all fought for the same purpose, the preservation of the American dream. Whether they are one and the same or are really three different versions America's indomitable dream remains to be seen.
