Hmmm, a delectable story, o King of Geotopia. Mr. Monster |
|
Doctor Jim Stearne is interested in strange phenomena involving the human condition. In his very first case, he confronts a seemingly re-animated corpse, but in fact the victim has been in a deathlike trance, until she awakens and murders her husband and herself. Fascinated by this case, Dr. Stearne starts to study the weird and occult. He finds a book on lyncanthropy, the source of the werewolf legend, and more sources proving that the old superstitions have a basis in fact. He decides that researching the paranormal is the work for him. For the next few months, Doc travels the darkest corners of the world to learn its strangest secrets. Chided by his peers and given the nickname Mr. Monster, Jim takes that as his official name when fighting evil demons, and in his new calling he needs to be ready for action! For in this world of ours, nothing is perfect. From time to time, strange children are born to normal humans, infants with strangely warped minds and bestial forms. Fortunately, few of these creatures survive, but...SOME DO! They form the basis of most of our ancient legends concerning werewolves, ghouls, vampires, and so forth. Mr. Monster devotes his life to tracking down these creatures and destroying them. He has become known throughout the world as one of Canada's greatest heroes. For Mr. Monster is humanity’s last defense against these insidious creatures that prey on mankind. |
