The Hun

    In a small Bavarian village in the years following Germany’s defeat in World War I lives a small orphan boy, who is truly evil in every sense of the word. Shunned by the villagers, this orphan boy is cast out of this sleepy little town. Swearing revenge, he sets off to find sanctuary, eventually taking refuge in a monastery. Studying ancient books at the monastery, the young man discovers writings from an old sect that followed the Teutonic god of war. Discovering their secrets, he locates a hidden monument that contains the Shield of Hate. He secures this shield and receives a stunning vision of the Teutonic war god, who bids him to take up the shield in his name. He shall be granted great powers to do the evil god's bidding. The young man does just this and is endowed with superhuman strength, stamina and vitality.

    Calling himself the Hun, after the great conquerors of old, the young man returns to his old village and destroys it. This atrocity is the first in a long line of evil deeds that the Hun would perpetrate. The Hun falls in with Adolph Hitler and his mad Nazis, emblazoning a swastika upon his shield as a symbol of his allegiance. But the Hun does not go unopposed, for soon the American hero, the Shield, and his partner, Dusty, the Boy Detective, defeat him in the first of many confrontations. The Hun also battles the Hangman, as well as the Boy Buddies (Roy, the Super Boy and Dusty) only to meet defeat at their hands as well. Eventually the Hun is killed (or so it is believed) and his reign of terror is brought to an end. At least for now...
