Nelvana
of the Northern Lights

    Coming down from the great Arctic North, Nelvana, the daughter of King Koliak the Mighty, lives among the Eskimo people she has sworn to protect. This mythical beauty can travel at near light-speed by riding along the rays of the Aurora Borealis. She also uses her magical powers, derived from the Aurora Borealis, to fight off the evil Ether People and rescue the Eskimo village that they had attacked. Nelvana of the Northern Lights also fights against the Axis powers to protect her native Canada from spies and saboteurs. Along with her brother Tanero, Nelvana thwarts a gang of criminals bent on robbing the Eskimos of their fishing livelihood. In times of great danger, Nelvana can become invisible by being absorbed into the rays of her father's Northern Lights. At times Nelvana ventures into civilization, adopting various identities so she can easily blend in with the mortals she seeks to aid.
