Men On a Mission

    If you have come this far, then welcome to the Historical Society for the Preservation of Classic Comic Book Characters! Please read the Badge of Honor that adorns our letter page. Upon the crest of the shield, you will be offered the opportunity to help us preserve these great Good Guys and Gals from a time long past. If you read our Time Lines, you can get a sense of history behind our profiled characters in this and future issues and how that history has been important to the development of the art form of comics. The Obscurity Scale will show you just what types of characters we will feature and what types of characters we are looking for important information on. The Alpha Listing presents, in alphabetical order, the characters we have and the information we need to finish their profiles, not to mention the ones we've missed completely. In addition to this, we will also have a Wanted posting, seeking those last few characters we need to complete a company’s stable.

    So what's the DEAL? Well, simply it's this: please help us gather all of the Good Guys and Gals from around the world from 1936 to 1960! As you provide us with information, we in return will give you an original drawing of your favorite Golden Age character, ONE per submission of documented additions / corrections / omissions. Help us out; we need your knowledge and support in this mission to preserve for historical posterity the classic characters of yesteryear, for your enjoyment as well as our own.
