The Iron Skull


    In the fall of 1939 a mysterious android appears over the skies of war-torn Europe and eventually ends up in America. Known only as the Iron Skull, this artificial being who can fly at great speed, is impervious to harm short of a direct bomb blast, is super-strong, and possesses vision beyond any human’s, aids America against her enemies. But, due to some unexplained sorcery, he ends up / starts out in the future of 1970. Dressed in a stylish green business suit, with a black shirt and white tie, the Iron Skull now works for the US Government as a covert agent. In civilian life the Iron Skull is a private detective for hire when not on a government mission. Paradoxically, it's not known if the Iron Skull originated in 1939 or was sent back in time from 1970 and then returned to the present again. Or is it the other way around? Either way this mysterious android was a force for good in any era.

Of further note, Volta, there are theories speculating that this android and the one found in South America, known as Man O War and later the White Streak, are related phenomena. Both spoke of extraterrestrial origins, but each had very different abilities. A third android of the era was created in America about the same time and was known ironically enough as the Human Torch. He shared more attributes with the South American android than with the Iron Skull. Interestingly, all three androids appeared within the same relative time frame of each other.
