Sparkman

In the summer of 1941, wealthy businessman and industrialist Omar Kavak discovers a process where a person can harmlessly store static electricity in one's own body. Being an amateur sleuth, as well as a brilliant businessman, Omar realizes that his new discovery could be put to good use for the benefit of mankind and in his efforts to fight the crime that threatens to take over his city. Designing his first costume to store and protect him from the static electricity, (as seen here, modeled by Omar's girlfriend and companion Dora), Omar Kavak sets out in his new identity as the Sparkman on a campaign of crime-stopping, ridding his beloved city of all criminal vermin. With an electrode attached to each of his gloved index fingers, Sparkman stuns his foes into submission with bursts of concentrated static electricity. Omar later modifies his costume, as seen in the photo presented to the right, into a more streamlined version. With the outbreak of World War II, Omar Kavak all but abandons his Sparkman identity and enlists in the military to continue his fight against the foes of freedom and the propagators of tyranny! After the war, Omar briefly returns to being Sparkman!
