    Adam Mann, a common research worker conducting dangerous experiments with the element U-235, is caught in a weird chemical accident. In the ensuing explosion, Adam is embedded with tiny slivers of the radioactive U-235; this accident results in his gaining astounding extraordinary abilities. Now like a living storage battery, Adam is charged with a million ergs of energy. With this energy comes superhuman strength and the ability to project blasts of radiation from his hands. Propelled by gamma rays, Adam finds that he can now fly. Wanting to use his great gifts for the benefit of all mankind, he clandestinely adopts the secret identity of the Atomic Man, foe of evil miscreants everywhere! In times of peril Adam Mann disappears, and Atomic Man is on the job. Unfortunately, this wonder of radiation, only operated for a brief time before vanishing into the unknown, never to be seen again.
