Well, Mr. Smartypants, here's one
weird guy that you can't say I know nothing of! Zippo |
|
January 1943 is a good year for private eye Joe Blair, because he's about to test his greatest invention. Climbing into his asbestos suit, Joe straps on his throttle belt. With a flip of a lever, it sends him roaring along like the fastest motor car. The secret of his invention lies in his belt, which has a cylinder piston on each side. Powered by compressed air capsules placed in the cylinder belt chamber, these cylinders move two jointed driving rods, which are attached to wheels constructed of serrated carborundum steel, the hardest metal known to science. These wheels of steel are notched for traction and strapped to Joe’s feet. Thus armed, Joe Blair, now to be forever known as Zippo, becomes a blitz on wheels, defending America's defense industry and the people of this great democracy against hostile enemies. Zippo uses his wheels like roller skates to move very fast; he can also use his wheels to cut through objects like steel bars and other materials. |
