Vulcan

July 1940

    Vulcan, a descendant of the gods, dwells inside a volcano, where he rules over the underground city of Vulcania, home to the Lava People. Sensing great evil brewing in the outside world, Vulcan ventures forth to investigate the surface. To his amazement, he sees madmen make war on innocent people. Vulcan vows to use his great heat powers to rid the world of mad dictators and men of tyranny. With his heat powers he can melt through any object. Bullets have no effect on him, since they melt before contact. Vulcan can also hurl fireballs of lava and change the course of lava flow throughout the world. Vulcan can also generate enough heat to fly, and his only weakness is asbestos, which inhibits his powers.
