This is one American lady who wouldn't mind calling this next profile cousin!

Powerman
(UK)

1946

It's Christmas Eve in Chicago, Illinois. In the apartment of Kerry Lattimer, British citizen and visiting reporter, comes a knock on the door. Enter an aged gentleman, whose tall top hat cloaks his face in shadow. The mystery visitor presents Kerry with a "seasonal present from the mist of time." After the old gent leaves, Kerry examines the package; it's a copy of Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol." Opening the book, a loud BAM! is heard, and a shrouded figure appears, intoning: "I am the ghost of Christmas yet to come! I bear a message. On the dawn of Christmas Day you will become a crime-fighting force endowed with super-human gifts! Use this strength and wisdom to bring about good in this upset world! Farewell!"

Of course the next day Kerry wakes and has been transformed into the mighty Powerman. Complete with cape and cowl and a big "P" on his chest, he is ready to take on the evils of America! Now in the possession of super strength, resistance to bullets, and super-speed, this dashing British crimefighter battles on through Ohio to Harlem. My kinda guy!
