Daredevil

    In September 1940, Bart Hill debuts as Daredevil. At first he seems to be a mute due to torture as a young boy by criminals. But this is not so! The truth lies years earlier…

    The infant Bart, whose parents own a gold mine in Australia, becomes an orphan, when his parents are killed by the Aborigine Pygmies. Bart is taken with the Pygmies to be raised as one of their own. Growing to manhood, Bart becomes the best of all the tribesmen, especially in the use of the boomerang. Eventually, he decides to challenge the tribal chief, who, curiously, always wears a red and blue costume. Defeating the evil chief and now in possession of the striking costume, Bart Hill is transformed into Daredevil! Learning from the defeated tribal chief that it was an evil man who hired the tribal warriors to kill Bart’s parents so that he could own the gold mine for himself, Daredevil exacts his revenge and reclaims his heritage. Now that he is rich, he returns to America. Upon seeing how bad crime in America is, he devotes himself to its extermination! Soon he is aided in his crusade against crime by a group of boys known as the Little Wise Guys.
