Late July, Early August 1941 Professor Archibald Masters, an instructor at an East Coast school, is doing research on the different types of radiation and their effects on organic life. Prof. Masters is accidentally exposed to the rays of a deadly atom smasher. But, much to his amazement, the radiation does not kill him. Instead, it endows him with extraordinary abilities. No longer is he a timid, bespectacled bookworm. Now he can fly, run faster than a car, lift heavy objects, and burst unharmed through walls. In fact, he is now impervious to bullets! Archibald Masters makes a vow to use his great abilities for his country and mankind! Thus he adopts the alter ego of the American Crusader, defender of justice, enemy to crime and tyranny! Aided by his young companion, Mickey Martin, they thwart all the enemies of democracy. |
