If you love Golden Age stories or are just simply curious about them you owe it to yourselves to go and BUY these CDs. Speaking of Golden Age reprints, this month we are proud to offer three more Golden Age reprints on our site for your viewing pleasure. Starting January 1 2002, GREATS OF THE GOLDEN AGE OF COMICS will have its own monthly site attached to Good Guys & Gals, featuring four reprints per month and a fifth reprint voted by you viewers from past selections. We will still be offering Golden Age reprints on our main site as well, whenever an issue graces your eyes. So please write and tell us your favorite stories or suggestions for stories to be presented (if we can oblige!). Heck, just write us and tell us what you think of the site. We will have a letter page on the GREATS OF THE GOLDEN AGE site. This issue is a mini-spotlight on those fabulous characters from MLJ/Archie. Issue # 20 will wrap up the last of the MLJ Golden Age super heroes and heroines. Look in December for the most complete ever MLJ / ARCHIE Special ever done on the Net, covering the years 1939 to 1969. So be on the lookout, OK? Issue # 20 (out in late November), will be a mini-spotlight on Timely's sharacters and should prove to be a really fun issue! Issue # 21 will be the ALL FEMALE HERO issue and is tentatively scheduled for late January or early February of 2002. Other future issues will include an ALL FOREIGN HERO AND HEROINES issue (#22), an ALL TEENAGE HEROES AND HEROINES issue (#23), and the end of Volume Two of the Good Guys and Gals of the Golden Age double-sized issue (# 24)! We will start Volume # 3 (issue # 25) with a bang with an issue solely devoted to the trio-teams of the Golden Age of Comics! Don't you dare miss it! Mystery Guest from Issue # 18 was the RED STAR from Rolly-Polly Comics # 10. We still have our Mystery Guest from last issue as well as a new one for this issue. Remember: if you can identify the character you will five free drawings of your choice from any past issues. So get out your Gerbers and your Overstreets and get hunting! Good luck! Take a peek at our updated NEED LIST, because we have added quite a few characters and the books they appeared in. Help us round up these last few heroes and heroines so we can preserve their history for everyone to enjoy. Speaking of enjoyment, I would like to remind everyone that GGGA is not simply a reprint site (tough it’s been great fun putting together these reprints). It’s a history site, and it takes a long time to draw, color and write all of this material from scratch and still maintain a monthly schedule at our customary level of quality. Remember that when there is no new "monthly" issue, we're busy striving to give you the best possible issue that we can. We hope you appreciate our efforts! That’s it for this month! Go forth and enjoy! GOD BLESS YOU ALL and GOD BLESS AMERICA and its REAL Heroes and Heroines! We will never forget you or your sacrifices! Richard Boucher 10/11/01
