Human Atlas

    When Jim Randall and his girlfriend Linda Thompson happen upon Linda's younger brother being beaten on by some toughs, Jim intercedes only to be beaten up himself! Lying in bed that night, Jim bemoans the course of events when Atlas the “Greek god of strength” appears before him!

    "I have chosen you, Jim Randall, to be the Human Atlas! You will possess powers of super-strength! Handle it with care, wisdom, and for the good of society!" And with that Atlas gives Jim the god’s own "strange secret exercise" secrets. Travelling to his Uncle Hank's Cross Bar Ranch in Los Alemand, Arizona, Jim starts to try them out. Within days he becomes a physical superman with awesome strength and agility. As the Human Atlas, Jim can lift huge boulders, stop a truck with his hands, walk a tightrope with ease, and even use his "swelling biceps" to tear the wings from an airplane! Then the former weak office clerk creates a costume for himself and dubs himself Atlas, going forth as the Greek god had instructed him to do and wage war on evil!
