Mastermind

    Flash Lightning (see individual entry) rescues a fleeing woman, who has just escaped from a menacing castle. Flash and the woman return to the castle to investigate but they find nothing there but advanced scientific machinery. Later in a prison hospital ward a mysterious figure approaches the villain known as the Mummy (see individual entry) and offers to help him escape only if the Mummy reveals the secret of his radioactive bandages. This figure is the Mastermind, an evil genius who uses his electrical powers to free the Mummy and spirit away both villains.

    Yet, Black Blitz, the Mastermind cannot be trusted, for once he has obtained the secret from the Mummy he leaves him in the lurch. The Mastermind after recharging his powers via a voltage inducer powered by raw lightning, battles Flash Lightning, only to end up defeated as was the Mummy before him. This pattern is repeated for both villains; Flash Lightning would encounter both these evil men again and again, but he would always emerge victorious!
