| December 1941: The world writhes in the flames of war. Rip Graves, reported dead in the first world war, learns that he is honored as the Unknown Soldier. From beneath the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, he battles for his country as the Ghost of Flanders. In his eight recorded adventures the Ghost of Flanders battles many fiends who threaten his beloved country, but he never wavers in his determination to defeat the forces of evil. |

Very true, Doctor Amperes, for
Rip Graves has no super powers, just great fighting skills and athletic
prowess. Interestingly, the Ghost mainly the Imperial Japanese oppressors,
rather than the evil Nazi hordes plaguing Europe. Nonetheless, no matter
whom the Ghost of Flanders faced, his courage and grim determination always
led him to victory.
