| Christmas 1941: Not every mystery man of the 1940s was a rich playboy or crusading reporter, for goodness dwells in many hearts. At Doc Vaughn’s a frail and mild-mannered young drug store clerk named Stormy Foster accidentally discovers a super vitamin pill that will transform him into the Great Defender of justice. This super-vitamin pill bestows upon Stormy Foster great strength, which he uses to serve justice in his native Washington DC aided by his Chinese friend and confidant Ah Choo (sorry, folks). Adopting a simple costume as befits a common man, Stormy Foster, the Great Defender, fights the good fight for nearly three years before disappearing from the crime-fighting scene. |
