Our next hero lives out a centuries-old legacy. This is the profile on....

The
Shark

Through the centuries, a line of underwater guardians each called Neptune have fathered sons to fight evil. Each son is raised in an underwater stronghold called the Shark's Tooth and given the most rigorous education and training. When this is done the young man, now known as the Shark is sent forth to fight evil in the world’s oceans. One such Shark appears in 1939. The Shark can breathe air and water and in the water is superhumanly strong and enduring. But away from water, the Shark’s strength dwindles to below normal human levels. However after an initially violent meeting with his father Neptune, the Shark receives from his father a magical knife, which so long as he holds it, preserves his strength on land. The Shark can also shape water into different forms and move through pools of water by teleportation. The Shark's Tooth  has a vast array of machines to warn our hero of trouble.

Let’s also note, Golden Talon, that after a new Shark is released into the great oceans of the world, the former Shark then assumes the title of Neptune to operate as a free agent. The Neptune in 1939 had served as the Shark for nearly five centuries before turning over duties to his son and acting as his mentor. Neptune spoke often of the lore of the Shark and of his own adventures, but he never told the Shark of the days when the Shark was in training at Shark’s Tooth.
