Masked Marvel

    July 1939: The world totters on the brink of armed aggression. But help comes from the Masked Marvel, whose real identity is unknown, and his loyal agents ZL, ZR, and ZY. These guardians of world peace are headquartered in a glass-domed secret mountain hideout, from which they survey the world through the televisor and rush into action in an amphibious airplane fighting evil with such amazing weapons as the paralyzer ray gun and the Masked Marvel’s own superhuman strength. And they need all of these resources against enemies like the Tusk, a man with enlarged tusk-like teeth on his lower jaw. The Tusk and his gang rob using his fast-acting knockout gas. The Masked Marvel also tackles the mad scientist Azkor. The Nazi-aided Azkor threatens the world from his Latin American base with a poison gas that can destroy whole cities. One of the Masked Marvel's recurring foes is the Red Raider, one of Germany's greatest U-boat designers and tacticians. The Red Raider has an advanced prototype U-boat with which he scourged international shipping lanes prior to World War II The Masked Marvel's adventures ended abruptly in 1940.
