Lightning Girl

    In June 1942 Isobel Blake, girl reporter for the Daily Ledger, receives the gift of renewed life from her boyfriend, superhero Flash Lightning (see individual entry) when she is injured by crooks in the pursuit of a story. Flash Lightning transfers "thousands of volts" into the gravely injured Isobel Blake endowing her with the power of lightning. Thus, she can fly, hurl lightning bolts, radiate lightning heat, and move faster than the human eye can follow. Now both possess the "lightning impulses" that allow them to track one another and be revived by a jolt of lightning. Donning a costume, Isobel Blake becomes the heroine Lightning Girl and aids her partner Flash Lightning much to the chagrin of criminals everywhere.
