The Web

When John Raymond was a child, his brother Tom was a juvenile lawbreaker. Tom continued his wicked ways and ended up in jail. Brother John, trying to understand what made his brother evil, studied psychology and criminology until it became his life's work. One night during a particularly bad storm, John hears a knock on his door. Answering it, he finds Tom, newly escaped from jail and armed with a gun. John tries to get Tom to give himself up, but his brother refuses, figuring the cops will never look for him at his brother’s. But, unknown to Tom, John Raymond's phone line is out; the police come by to check on John due to the storm and in the process catch Tom, who goes back to jail. John Raymond isn't satisfied to just study crime; he decides to fight crime and creates the alter ego of the Web. With his superb mind and physically prepared body, the Web became the scourge of the underworld, striking fear into their cold hearts.

"Spin your web of crime, you creatures of evil! Yes...spin it strong, spin it cleverly, spin it any way you will! But this is your warning...you are weaving about you a mesh from which there is no escape...a trap of your own making. You can't escape the Web!"
