Adam Strange

    1958--in search for the Incan city of Caramanga in the Peruvian plateaus of the Andes, Adam Strange is struck by a ZETA beam sent to Earth 4.3 years before by the scientist Sardath of the city of Ranagar on the planet Rann. Adam Strange is now instantly transported to the planet Rann via the Zeta beam, which originally was only supposed to be a "beacon" to signal to its recipients that there was intelligent life on Rann.

    Unfortunately, thanks to some "unknown space radiation", the beam was converted into a transportation device. It is this very "beacon" that brings Adam to Rann and also to the love of his life, Sardath's daughter Alanna. Adam comes at a very dangerous time for Rann and finds himself faced with many perilous adventures. Using the technology of Rann and his Earth "abilities," Adam overcomes many foes of Rann and, in the process, becomes Rann's greatest protector. One problem exists though; the Zeta beam eventually wears off, and Adam Strange is transported back to Earth. There he must await the next Zeta beam to strike Earth, and every 62 days, 16 minutes and 5 seconds return to Alanna and Rann.
