Time Lines


    Now we start to see the decline of the action-adventure characters. The superheroes and mystery-men for both 1943 and 1944 would barely number over 100, a significantly smaller number than any previous year since 1939. In just a few short years the novelty or inspiration for new superheroes was on the wane. Here are the characters for 1943 and 1944.
