Doc Strange

February 1940

    Hugo Strange has discovered the miraculous drug "alosin," which is "a powerful distillate of sun atoms." Hugo takes this liquid drug in order to root out crime in his fair city or to solve the cases found by his girlfriend Virginia. By drinking the alosin potion, Doc Strange and his sidekick Mike (see individual entry) gain superhuman strength and agility. They can kick automobiles around, bend steel bars that imprison them, dodge the bullets constantly fired upon them, and leap several hundred feet into the air. But Doc Strange is not invulnerable; a powerful blow to the head will render him unconscious. For many years, Doc Strange and Mike have many thrilling adventures and are one of America's best crime-fighting teams.
