| Coming from an unknown land under the sea, the heroine known as the Mermaid was amphibious by nature. Although she could survive above water, she needed to periodically submerge in the life-giving ocean. The Mermaid joined the Freedom Brigade in the final months of World War II, where she would meet her future husband, the titanic Mr. Might! Together, they would have an offspring, Leander (a name from her native language) Brent (Brent being Mr. Might's only known name). Their son would inherit both of his parents’ powers and weaknesses, becoming Awkwardman, the clumsiest hero around, who went on to become a member of the Inferior 5. |
