Hello again.
One of the most outstanding crimefighters, a man of high caliber, is in our next profile...

The Black Terror

In the spring of 1941, pharmacist Bob Benton is experimenting with formic ether vapors, when a freak accident transforms Bob into a super-being with great strength and vitality. Bob Benton manages to reproduce this chemical compound for further use when he is needed as the Black Terror, nemesis of evil! Using his powers to fight crime, the Black Terror has been known to knock his way through several feet of cement. With his feet he can stop the pistons of great locomotive trains from moving. He is capable of surviving explosions from bomb detonations and has been seen to stop propellers with his bare hands. However, the Black Terror is not immune to harm. A simple but powerful blow will render him unconscious. Nor is the Black Terror so strong that he can escape from cement and steel bonds or withstand drowning. It would appear that the formic ether vapor compound is not stable, so neither are the Black Terror's abilities.

Working as a pharmacist at a drug store, Bob Benton has a friend in Tim Roland, a young boy who works at the same store as Bob. Tim is occasionally given a variation of the formula so that he and Bob can fight side by side as the Terror Twins. With or without their extraordinary abilities, the Black Terror and Tim, the Terror Kid, wage an unending campaign against the evils of mankind.

It should also be noted, Patrolman, that the Black Terror fought the Nazis of my homeland Germany and was feared throughout the world wherever oppression and hate reigns instead of freedom and justice for all mankind. I remember him when I was a child in my hamlet in Bavaria.
